Béchamel Sauce

  • 4 Servings:

  • 300 ml Milk
  • 1.5 tbsp Butter
  • 1.25 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tbsp Onion (chopped)
  • Salt, Pepper (white)
  • .125 tsp Nutmeg
  1. Directions:

  2. Chop onion. Simmer milk in a pot. Melt butter in a different sauce pan. Gradually add flour. Cook on low heat for one minute. Add milk, gradually. Add onion.
  3. Continue to simmer for 20 minutes, until sauce is thickened. Gently sprinkle nutmeg into sauce last, taking care to avoid clumping.
