Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Makes about 20 Cookies:

  • 8 tbsp Butter (113 g)
  • 6 tbsp Sugar (71 g)
  • 6 tbsp Brown Sugar (80 g) (75 g)
  • 1 large Egg
  • .5 tsp Vanilla (extract)
  • 280 g Flour
  • .5 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Water
  • .5 tsp Salt
  • 200 g Chocolate (Chips, semisweet)
  1. Directions:

  2. Soften butter. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with nonstick baking mats or parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy, about 2 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips. Scoop 1 1/2 tablespoon-sized balls and place onto prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
